In line with the promotional aspect of its mandate, the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP) is set to partner with NAIRAXI Transport and Logistics limited, an indigenous company that has developed an app for on-demand mobility, electronic commerce and logistic platform.
The Director General of NOTAP, Dr. DanAzumi Mohammed Ibrahim in his well come speech when the company executive led by Kingsley Eze paid him a courtesy call, said NOTAP was primarily established to regulate the inflow of foreign technology through the registration of technology transfer agreement and at the same time, promote the development of indigenous technologies.
He said NAIRAXI was an indigenous company with a unique concept with broad spectrum of digital businesses that will provide job opportunities for our teaming youths with robust business ideas that will fast-track development in the Nigerian business ecosystem.
Dr. Ibrahim stated that in line with Mr. President's local content policy and with a clearly articulated and concise business strategy of the Company, NAIRAXI will be supported by NOTAP within the confines of the act establishing it. He added that several on-demand taxi services and online shops and delivery/logistics services are rapidly making waves across the globe but warned that integrity should be the watch word.
He promised that NOTAP will promote the usage of the app but emphasized that the company must first demonstrate readiness and capacity to carry out the jobs to which they claimed they can offer to build the confidence of its customers.
The Director General further stated that NOTAP has been assisting Nigerian inventors and innovators in patenting their inventions as a way of encouraging inventiveness in the country and asked the company to ensure that their app is protected to avoid stealing.
In a short documentary presentation on the Company's profile to the Management of NOTAP, the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of NAIRAXI, Mr. Kingsley Eze said, information and digital technology has turned the world into a global village and for Nigeria not to be left behind in the technology ecosystem, his company has introduced the first on-demand mobility, electronic commerce and logistics outfit.
He said the app is developed to solve transportation and logistics problems not only in Nigeria but even outside the country as they are striving to make the company a Nigerian export, adding that Nigerians go for online shopping, in total patronage to foreign companies, hence the need for an indigenous outfit.
The Chief Executive officer revealed that the transport section of the company has kicked off immediately after the official inauguration of the company, adding that the challenge they have noticed so far was over subscription by customers. He said customers request/order for vehicles were unprecedented to the extent that they cannot meet up with all the requests do inadequate number of vehicles.
Mr. Eze said return in investment with a couple of months is up to 50% as he urged investors to partner with the company to actualize their dreams.
