The Honourable Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola and the Controller Generals of Immigration and Federal Fire Service, Muhammad Babandede and Dr. Liman Ibrahim Alhaji, MIFireE, FPA, icca, FCILG are currently in the Republic of Belarus on a bilateral discussion on the invitation of the Minister of Interior Belarus, Ivan Kubrakov.
This visit has availed the Hon. Minister of Interior (Nigeria) the opportunity to discuss matters that will further cement the existing relationship between the two countries. Issues relating to training and equipment procurement are being discussed.
The Controller General Federal Fire Service met and discussed with his counterpart of Institute for Emergencies and Safety.
The Hon Minister Rauf Aregbesola has approved the training of twelve personnel of the Federal Fire Service to undergo training on the operation of hydraulic platform in the Republic of Belarus beginning in September 2021.
The Hon. Minister and the two Service Chiefs of the Ministry of Interior were warmly received and treated to the hospitality of the Republic of Belarus.
