The Accord Candidate in the forthcoming November 6th Governorship Elections in Anambra State, Dr. Godwin Maduka, has outlined the first focal areas of concern, which his administration will be consolidating efforts when elected. He stated that Social Welfare, Security and Employment are the first three major projects which his administration will address in the first quarter. The statement was made during an interactive press conference at his campaign hall in Awka yesterday.
During the interaction with Newsmen, Dr. Godwin Maduka harped on the need to improve Anambra state, stressing that with expatiated efforts on the aforementioned areas of concentration, his Administration would have introduced a path of sustainability for other development agendas for Ndi Anambra. He was in the company of the Party's state Chairman, Chief Bartholomew who kicked started the event with an opening speech, describing Maduka as a round peg in a round hole and a new wine in a new bottle.
Other persons at the Press Conference included his Running Mate, Sir Ken Obi Ifeatu, Bright Nebedum, th Director General of his Campaign, MacJoe, the Director of Field Operations and Mr. Alex Nwankwo the Accord Candidate that Maduka substituted. Speaking during the media parley, Maduka noted that the first quarter of his administration will ensure the solidification of projects that will directly affect the entire people of Anambra state.
In the area of Social Welfare, the Accord Party Candidate emphasized that his Government will initiate and immediately implement programs designed to support healthcare, empowerment, housing and other programs geared towards assisting the poor, unemployed and those who are marginalized in Anambra State. He stressed that social welfarism is key and must be prioritized, as it is the bedrock of any serious administration.
He however noted that the safety of lives and properties is equally an area of major concern, which will be emphasized in the early quarter of his administration. Maduka assured Ndi Anambra that his administration will work tirelessly with both local and international experts, exploring new technologies and other innovations to provide adequate security, as well as further equip security agencies with more advanced amonitions to support their operations in the state.
Still speaking on his vision to uplift Anambra state, Maduka buttressed on the issue of unemployment. He stressed that he Organization will absorb and create jobs for the idle youths who has nothing rather take up arms to cause havoc. He further outlined his administration's interest to create millions of jobs for youths, and women, through empowerment, skills acquisition and other potential opportunities that will improve employment across the state.
