A leading club in Abuja, Hustle & Bustle has broken its silence on the alleged electrocution of a customer at its facility on 14th November, 2021, saying this was not the true fact of the matter.
According to the club owned and operated by Cubana Group in a statement on Thursday, the customer had made a slight run, tripped and fell down near the car park, CCTV footage reveals.
She was said to have became unconscious and sadly passed on while she was being rushed to the hospital.
The club further revealed the police has carried out an extensive review of its CCTV footage during investigation, noting that it is waiting for outcome on the investigation.
"On the 14th of November 2021, a dear customer whilst leaving our premises, tripped and fell and this led to her painful and untimely death.
"Owing to this tragedy, our management reached a decision to shut down our business so as to adequately mourn the deceased, and also allow the police unfettered access to conduct their investigations
"On that fateful morning, the deceased after leaving the cub, was happily playing around with her friends, when she made a slight run, tripped and felt down a few meters to the car park and became unconscious. Ssdly, she pessed on, on their way to the hospital.
"The Nigerian Police Force have extensively carried out their investigations and thorough reviewed our wide and lengthy CCTV footages and we await the report of this investigation" the club management explains.
It therefore assured the public that it has employed several health and satety standards and will continue to place safety over profit.
It further revealed that it has also used this bitter lesson to upgrade its already decent safety procedures, that it would do its utmost best to continue to serve as a leader in this sector.
