Former First Lady of Imo State, Dr. Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha and chairmen of local governments who have shown outstanding leadership were among those who won in the just concluded 2021 Papyrus Magazine tripple Award Event.
The tripple award which which include Special Recognition Award, Local Government Chairman Award and Distinguished CEO Award took place at Sheraton Hotels Abuja.
Dr. Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha, who is also the Founder of Woodi as bagged "Woman of the Decade" Award in the Special Recognition category.
Others are Fatou Saine Gaye, CEO Gaye Njorro Skills Academy as "Champion of African Youths Empowerment" Award, Abioye Oke, CEO of Lifestyle Asset Hub as "Africa Champion of Affordable Housing" Awards.
Others honoured in the Special Recognition category are, Chief Amb. Ginika Tor, as an African Young Women Model, Deaconess Mrs. Joy Osaro-Onaiwu as Meritorious Philanthropist for the Destitute, Mr. John N. Okwugo for Outstanding Contribution to African Entertainment Sector, Pst. Chief Mrs. Ruth Davies for Outstanding Innovation in Africa among others.
Council chairmen who won on the 6th edition of The Papyrus Magazine award in the Local Government Chairman category are Jon. James Pukuma, the Executive Chairman of Hong Local Government, Adamawa State for "Sustainable Rural Development", Hon. Inuwa Zangina Dangada, the Executive Chairman of Bagwai Local Government Kano State for "Excellent Approach on Security, Hon. Surv. Iniobong Ekpenyong, the Executive Chairman of Uruan Local Government in Akwa Ibom State as "Best Performing Local Government Chairman for Community Development" and Hon. The Publisher of Papyrus Magazine, Chief Doofan Abu-Amali said the recognition of notable persons across diverse sectors and industries who have performed excellently in their various leadership roles is a way of supporting the growth and development of Nigeria.
