The year 2021 is obviously a wonderful year with a lot of positive vibes in the entertainment industry. A lot of events took place, and some of this events can be regarded as part of the biggest Nigerian events that happened in the year 2021. In this article, I would be showing to you 5 major events in the entertainment industry that trended this year.
1) The Big Brother Naija show:
The Big Brother Naija show is apparently one of the biggest shows in Nigeria, and it has been on for over 5 years now. The BBN show that was held this year happens to be one of the most entertaining shows that was held in Nigeria for the year. It had a lot of people rooting for their favourite housemate and most importantly it brought joy an happiness to the hearts of those who are lovers of the show. The show had a lot of highlights that made headlines, and some of the housemates really had their names in the news severally.
Notable among these housemates are: Angel, White Money, and Pere. Angel, one of the contestants, became one of the most talked about because of how young and confident she is. It was reported that she was just 21-years-old while the show was on, and her performance really blew the minds of a lot of viewers.
2 P-square‘s reconciliation:
The talented twin brothers, Peter and Paul were separated for over 4 years and this obviously broke the hearts of their fans and well wishers. A lot of celebrities and prominent entertainers tried all they could to bring them back together, but it seemed futile. Not until November, this year when the news of their reconciliation was announced, it appeared to be one of the best news we have heard for the year 2021.
The brothers were pictured having fun together and hugging eachother. This brought happiness to the hearts of many, and a lot of people were also happy for their families. The twins have now started performing together, and their fans can’t wait for them to continue releasing hit songs like they used to do in the past.
3) The burial of Obi Cubana’s Mother:
Obi Cubana is originally not an entertainer, but his mother’s burial seemed to have brought a lot of Nigerian entertainers to Anambra state. These entertainers took to their various social media pages to share posts and videos from the event that was tagged “The burial that shook the world”. The likes of Davido, Zubby Michael, Phyno, Patorankin, etc were present. The burial ceremony became the talk of the town and the news made headlines for several days. One of the activities in the event that really sparked reactions was the way money was being showered on the businessman. A lot of Nigerian celebrities sprayed Obi Cubana with lots of money, and they didn’t fail to keep their fans updated about how the event went.
4) Bobrisky’s Birthday Celebration:
Popular Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky celebrated his 30th birthday this year in a very big way. His birthday turned out to be one of the most talked about birthday celebrations in the year 2021. The event was graced by a lot of famous faces, and Bobrisky made sure that he made a very good and positive impression that day. He invited one of his favourite musicians who happens to be the Fuji Legend, K1 Da Ultimate to perform at his birthday. Bobrisky was also gifted with a lot of money that day by some friends. It was a remarkable birthday celebration.
5) Bobrisky’s Surgery:
Bobrisky is really one of the celebrities that really trended online this year. The popular Crossdresser always knows how to create buzz online, and this year he evidently created a lot of buzz. Earlier in the year, Bobrisky announced that he would be undergoing a surgery to enhance his curves, and this sounded like a joke to many. However, Bobrisky began to post photos of himself in the surgery room, and that was when people began to take his claims seriously.
After a while, he shared some post-surgery photos online and this photos “broke the internet”, a lot of Nigerians began to share their opinions on the photo. Some believed that he actually enhanced his curves while some others were not convinced. This didn’t change the fact that Bobrisky made headlines as at the time he shared those photos.
