A popular television personality and media entrepreneur, Ambassador Ginika Tor has been honoured with the chieftaincy title of Imaluegwummiri Imaluegwuoku 1 of Awka, Anambra state by the Obi of Awka Eze Uzu II, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Gibson Nwosu OON.
At the traditional title conferment which took place at Awka Civic Centre, Amb. Tor was the only woman and the only non Anambra indigene who bagged recognition.
The event coincided with the 23rd coronation anniversary of Dr. Gibson Nwosu and the biannual Egwu Uzu (Ofala) festival.
Others recognised along with Amb. Tor, a Federal Commissioner of Federal Character Commission include, the Minister of Labour, Sen. Chris Ngige, billionaire businessman, Sir Arthur Eze, former member House of Representatives, Hon. Tony Nwoye and many more.

Ginika Tor was born on the 16th of June , 1974 to the family of Late Williams Uwaezuoke and Mary Chichetam Ijeomah of AmoliEnyimba, Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Amb. Mrs Ginika Florence Tor is a TV personality, a Media Entrepreneur, Brand Management expert and an income generation strategist, with hands-on experience in income generation strategy and planning. Before venturing into Events Management and TV programming, Mrs. Tor studied law at the University of Jos, Plateau State. Ginika, as is fondly called by her close friends, is an achiever and she effortlessly accomplishes whatever she sets her mind to do. In 2011, Accolade Media Company Ltd, (founded by Mrs. Tor) in partnership with Universal Promotional Wrestling Federation (an American-based wrestling agency) staged a world class wrestling championship in Lagos, which played host to an array of world-class wrestlers such as Tatanka, Powers of Pain, Shelton Benjamin, Treashia etc. In 2012, Accolade Media Co. Ltd was duly appointed as the Event Consultant and Manager for the Enugu State Fiesta by Enugu State Government in recognition of Ginika Tor’s entrepreneurial drive and result oriented approach to business. Her firm, also in collaboration with Kogi State Ministry of Culture and Tourism, successfully managed the Kogi State carnival 2013 and recently successfully managed and concluded the Trade Union Triennial Delegate Conference that played host to over 1,000 delegates and dignitaries at NAF Conference Centre & Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Abuja.
Ginika, through Accolade Media Co. Ltd, a company organized Investors’ Forum and Awards Ceremonies in Nigeria and USA that played host to distinguished personalities. In her quest to represent her community, Ginika ventured into politics with an impressive open declaration in January 2018, with a large turnout of supporters to the amazement of Party chieftains and that automatically placed her as a major stakeholder in the governing All Progressive Congress (APC). In less than 6 months of joining politics, she is a household name in Enugu State. Mrs. Ginika Tor, contested for the House of Representatives seat and later emerged as the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Enugu State on the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress. Hon. Ginika Tor is currently the Federal Commissioner Representing Enugu State at the Federal Character Commission, was inaugurated on the 2nd of July 2020 by the President of the Federal Republic, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR.
