Talent and music executive, Ubi Franklin has lost his bid for the All Progressive Congress ( APC ) House of Assembly ticket in his native Cross River State after falling behind his rival in the primary election held on Thursday.

ABUJAPRESS reports that Ubi lost to Cyril Omini, and with the loss, blew away the chance to represent Yakurr constituency 1 in the state assembly at the party's primary held on Thursday.


He polled 12 votes to come second in the keenly contested election.

Cyril Omini, the Special Adviser on security to Governor Ben Ayade polled 17 votes. Ubi Ubi Itam, another hopeful, came third with 11 votes.

The music executive is also the Special Adviser on tourism to Governor Ayade.

Recall that the 36-year old had stirred numerous reactions on social media after he announced that he will be seeking for an elective position in the 2023 general elections.
