Imo state Labour Party Leader, Dr. Charles Onyirimba has sued for caution and peace over the reported killing of youths said to be returning from a traditional wedding in Otulu community in Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State on Sunday 17 July, 2022.
Amidst the tension generated by the controversy on the true identity of the victims and their killers, Onyirimba expressed the view that a thorough investigation be carried out to establish the truth of the matter so that justice prevails at the end of the day.
The philanthropist who was a former National President of Imo state Congress of America, and who is tipped by many for governorship of Imo State, advised the media to be thorough in their duty of factual reportage. He alluded that the media is the eye through which people see the events happening around them.
Dr Onyirimba condoled with the families of the deceased who have confirmed that in deed, the victims are their relatives returning from a traditional wedding in Otulu community.
Dr Onyirimba prays for God's mercy on the souls of the young Imo citizens, who lost their life during the sad incident, asking God to grant their families the fortitude to bear the painful loss. He prayed for peace to return to Orlu zone.
