An ex-beauty queen, Jennifer Ephraim has been given an award of recognition at the just concluded Int'l Women Power Conference which took place on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Ladi Kwali Hall of Sheraton Hotel Abuja.
She was awarded in the category of 20 Young Future Female Voices in Africa along with First Lady of Oyo State, Tamunominini Makinde, her Akwa Ibom counterpart, Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel, the First Lady of Kebbi State, Dr. Zainab Bagudu, and wife of Sokoto state Governor, Maryam Mairo Aminu who bagged Governor’s Wife Impact and Compassionate Award respectively.
Jennifer Ephraim who is the founder of Jennifer Ephraim Foundation was recognized for her contributions in raising the welfare of the girl child.
Recall that in recent time, Queen Jennifer Ephraim Foundation through her foundation announced a scholarship awards to ten female students of Government Day Secondary School, Wuse 2 Abuja.
This was in commemoration of this year's international day for African Girl Child, which had as its theme, "Eliminating Harmful Health Practices Affecting Children".
At her award on Friday, she thanked the organisers of International Women Power Conference Africa for finding her worthy of the recognition.
The event had as its theme, "Revisiting Global Agenda For Gender Equality 1995".
