The Commander General of Nigeria Hunter and Forest Security Service, NHFSS, Amb Joshua Osatimehin, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his inauguration as the 16th elected President of Nigeria.
Speaking with newsmen in Abuja, Osatimehin expressed optimism in the ability of President Tinubu to deliver on his mandate based on his track records as trained Accountant and former Governor of Lagos State.
Osatimehin said his capacity and intellectual competency as well as mentorship to about 80 percent of Nigerian politicians would no doubt go a long way in contributing to his performance in office.
“We declare our unalloyed loyalty to Your Excellentcey’s vision and mission for Nigeria ‘s National Security and we pray and hope that the dream of the nation for an efficient community and Forest counter-terror armed fighters will be realized in your tenure as the nation awaits your assent to our Bill” Amb Osatimehin stressed
He commended the President for his readiness to work and restructure Nigeria National Security System in the area of mapping out criminal hideout in Forest.
The Commander General therefore reiterated the commitment and also expressed the readiness of NHFSS to work with his administration towards getting rid of crimes and criminality in the nation’s forest and all ungoverned spaces across the country.
Amb. Osatimehin said this would be done through effective collaboration with other formal security agencies towards ensuring the security of lives and property of Nigerians.
He explained that officers and men of the Service nationwide had already been trained towards achieving the mandate on national security in the New Administration of President Bola Tinubu.
According to him, the NHFSS Bill which has been passed by the National Assembly and already transmitted to the Presidency for ascent if signed into law by President Tinubu would go a long way in complementing his administration efforts in combating insecurity in the country.
“This dream shall be realized under your institutionalized instruments of good governance insha Allah” the Commander General said
He therefore appealed to Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s led administration to ensure national peace and economic development
“We hereby make an appeal to your visionary Government to kindly give your esteemed legal Presidenttial Assent to the NHFSS Bill for an Act to establish the Nigerian Hunter and Forest Security Service, NHFSS as a Federal Government security agency,” he added.
