The newly elected presidents – General of host Communities in Oml34, Delta State on Tuesday have threatened to shut down operations of all oil Companies within the areas over their alleged despicable, extortion with total neglect in the welfare of the people.

The Presidents – General Specifically mentioned failed Promises by management of Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC) and E& P limited including ND Western Limited Joint Venture, disclosing that it was time to shut down operations of these oil companies in anger of their displeasure to the people.

They also expressed total displeasure on issues that borders on Cooperate Social Responsibility ( CSR) which the Operators have failed to fulfilled to the Oml34 Host Communities.

Speaking to Journalists on Tuesday in Asaba, The President General, Otor – Udu, Mr Francis Uzoh among others said:"We wish to place on record that for the Past one year, the 28 host Communities of Oml34 have been engaged in a running battle with the management of NNPC, E& P limited and ND Western Limited Joint Venture over issues that borders on their Cooperate Social Responsibility, failed Promises to the Oml34 Host Communities'.

Our demands are non payment of four years scholarship arrears spanning through 2020 to 2023 respectively, Non payment of penalty fines from the expired GMoU spamming through a period of 2016 – 2019, among others."

The host Communities from the Utorogu, Ughelli East and Ughelli West field, numbering 28 Communities that have been Operating one GMoU before the PIA came into force, want their own separate host Communities Development Trust from those Communities in Warri River field that are in Oml34.
