C’River State Govt Appoints NUJ FCT Council Chairman as CPS

The River State Government has appointed the current Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) FCT Council, Comrade Emmanuel Ipole Ogbeche as Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu

Eteng said the governor approved appointments of Prof. Anthony Owan-Enoh as Secretary to the State Govemment (SSG), Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar Chief of Staff and Major Gen. Okoi Ubi Obono (Rtd) Snr. Special Adviser-Security(State Security Adviser)

"Others are AIG John Abang (Rtd) as Special Adviser, Security (Central)

Mr. Achu Ben Olayi Special Adviser – Security (North), Commander Patrick Odiong (Rtd) Special Adviser – Security (South) Mr. Emmanuel Ipole Ogbeche as Chief Press Secretary, and Mr. Sylvester Otu Abang as Acting State Chief of Protocol.

"The appointments takes immediate effect," Eteng stressed.

Ogbeche who works with the Abuja Inquirer has held several elective positions in the NUJ FCT Council.

He was elected for the position of the Chairman of Council for the second term in December 2021 where he beat his opponent,  Mr Donald Ugwu of News Agency of Nigeria with a very wide margin.
