A young man, Hussaini Lawan, and his wife were found dead in their matrimonial home on Saturday.

Hussaini and his wife, who was said to be pregnant before her death, reportedly got married in June last year.

A Twitter user, @saliimsanii, who broke the news of the couple's death in a tweet, called for prayers for the repose of their souls.

He said : "Innalillahi wainna ilaihi rajiun, our brother hussaini lawan & his beloved wife found dead in their matrimonial home in the early hours of today. please include them in your beautiful prayers, may allah swt forgive their shortcomings and grant them aljannatul firdaus. aameen."

Another Twitter user, Yaks Sarina, @YaksSarina, who corroborated the report, said Hussain got married last year.

" Hussein Lawal (Shamaki) got married on the 11th of June 2022 we were all celebrating and teasing him. Today 10th of June 2023 I woke up to the sad news of their(him and his wife) death. May Allah forgive Hussein and his wife and have mercy on their souls. My heart is heavy, " he tweeted.

Suleiman Yusuf, who also commented on the tweet said the burial of the late couple was scheduled for along Abuja-Kaduna road, Suleja.

" Innallahihi wainnna ilaihi rajiun. I heard the news 2 hours ago… we work with him together at zone 4 plaza Abuja" Janaza will take place in 1 hour time here Suleja Kaduna road. Allah grant them Jannah," he tweeted.

Suleiman added that the deceased woman was reportedly pregnant before her death.

Efforts to speak with the Federal Capital Territory Police Command to speak on the incident were unsuccessful at the time of filling this story.
