Nigerian singer and activist, Charles Oputa, popularly Charly Boy, has reacted to the backlash received by Afrobeats star, Davido over a music video shared on his social media handles.

Recall that Davido had received criticisms after sharing a music video of his new signee, Logo Olori which captured people praying and dancing in front of a mosque.

After much backlash, the DMW boss later took down the video.

Reacting to the situation, Charly wondered the reason for the backlash despite other pressing issues plaguing the nation.

He opined that the DMW boss has not done anything worse than the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai.

He wrote, “Upon all the tins wey dey pepper us,Boko haram, bad government, Christians being killed for blasphemy.

“When Our Mumu go Belleful many of us.

“If una like, ban em music for una region, Bado no send una.

“He is a Global Star. Nonsense. Tufiakwa.

“Make Una leave Davido.

“Abegi, make some of our northern Muslim brothers leave Davido alone he is one of the Pride of Nigeria. Entertaining us in our frustration.

“Wetin Davido do/sing wey pass wetin El-rufai don talk.

“Asake, na Yoruba muslim artiste wey take church do em video.”
