Explaining reason behind this, Akpabio stated that the Senate had his records as he had served as a minister in Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio has explained why the immediate past governor of Rivers, Barr Nyesom Wike, was not grilled as he appeared before the 10th Assembly for screening as a ministerial nominee.

After his profile was read out on the floor of the senate, Wike was asked to take a ‘bow and go’.

Explaining reason behind this, Akpabio stated that the Senate had his records as he had served as a minister in Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

He said;

“Having been nominated again for a ministerial position, there is no point asking him much questions.”
