The International Food Heroes Agency (IFHA) and partners has announced October 27 for the second edition of its physical and virtual ticketed event Tagged: AFRICA STAKEHOLDERS CONFERENCE ON FOOD SECURITY, NUTRITION AND HOSPITALITY in commemoration of World Food Day, 2023 with the theme: "Safe Food Today for a Healthy Tomorrow."
A statement made available to newsmen by the organisers explained that the conference will focus on Leadership, Management and Collaboration among various stakeholders in the value-chain. It also aimed at "building a global network of leaders who labour day and night to make sure we have food and drinks on our table."
It added that the conference which is to hold at the prestigious International Conference Centre (ICC) Abuja, will draw participants from across 30 African countries, who are major stakeholders in hospitality industry (food vendors, food processors, hotel owners and managers, farmers, drinks, beverages, and manufacturers) who labour to achieve goals 1, 2, and 17 (No poverty, zero hunger, good health and wellbeing and Partnership for the goals) of the SDGS respectively.
On objective of the conference, the statement said: "the outcomes of the meeting will among other things contribute to the efforts at combating hunger and starvation.
"To raise awareness and create a buzz around global food, drinks and agriculture.
"To compliment the effort of the Government in the promotion of locally grown food, all-season farming, and the potential of regional crops."
The organisers also announced that an early bird registration incentives is currently ongoing.
Additionally, registered participants will have access to summit materials, network with stakeholders, tea/coffee break, lunch, entry ticket to summit, and seating.

Inaugurated in 2022, the "Africa Stakeholders Conference on Food Security and Nutrition" is an initiative of the International Food Heroes Agency and held as an annual event in communication of WORLD FOOD DAY and collaborating with multi-sectoral partners in the food and agriculture industry across Africa.
The conference provides an opportunity to strengthen diplomatic ties and collaboration between foreign countries and Nigeria in the fields of food security, nutrition, agriculture and tourism. It is also a tool for cross-cultural diplomacy and collaborations between Policymakers, Government Agencies, Public Private Partnership (PPP), Researchers, CSOs, NGOs, Chefs, Restaurateurs, and culinary experts to exchange knowledge and deliberate on creating solutions to the identified challenges across board.
In addition, the "Africa Stakeholders Conference on Food Security and Nutrition" features the Africa Food Heroes Awards, which recognizes and celebrates chefs, restaurant and lounge owners, food vendors, food processors, farmers, suppliers, water/drinks/beverages, manufacturers, government agencies who labour to ensure food availability.
