A woman has told of how her ex-fiance burnt down the house she built and her successful business following a disagreement over whose house they would live in after marriage.

The woman, known as Chi Chi on X, told me that her restaurant and bar business grew in 2018, when she built the house. She met an engineer on the site, and he wooed her. By 2020, their relationship had developed and they were engaged.

However, the engineer insisted that she had to leave her bigger house and move into his one-bedroom apartment when they get married.

The woman decided to cancel her engagement if they couldn’t come to an agreement. It didn’t go well with her fiancé and he threatened to deal with her.

She said her house was later burnt to the ground when she was not around and afterward, she got a call from her ex-fiancé claiming responsibility for the destruction.

She didn’t have any evidence to back up her claims, so the case fell apart when she informed the police. She said her restaurant was also burned down not long after.

She had to move to Lagos in order to get away from her vengeful ex.

Below are the screenshots of her narration.
