India to deepen collaboration with Nigeria on security.

During the G-20 meeting taking place at New Delhi, India, Nigeria secured an additional $1Billion investment pledge. The Indian Government says that the money will be used to assist Nigeria’s security chiefs to reach their goal of manufacturing more locally made military weapons.

Nigeria’s Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), Gen. Christopher Musa, met President Bola Tinubu before he left for India.  It was reported that the other service chiefs had backed the request of the CDS for further investment in local production of military equipment.

“…but more than anything else, our collaboration with India will now strengthen the Armed Forces of Nigeria” – Gen. Christopher Musa
