At least 500 Ebonyi people are set to receive N2,000,000.00 each for the translation of their skills and talents to profitability and boost their businesses, courtesy of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru Governor of Ebonyi State.

In a statement made available to IGBERE TV on Tuesday, Mr Leo Oketa, Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor said the N1,000,000,000.00 empowerment programme which was flagged-off today by the Governor is the 1st batch for 500 Ebonyians living in various cities across the Country who are into various menial jobs.

According to Mr Oketa, “the State has carefully profiled these people and provided the enabling environment at the State’s Vocational Training Centre, for them to develop themselves in various skills. This is overseen by the State Ministries of Commerce and Industry; AND Skill Development and Job Creation. “

He noted that the Governor is consistently fulfilling his promises to Ebonyi people as enshrined in The People’s Charter of Needs.
