The 2023 edition of Bossladylaw Business Challenge (BBC) has finally come to an end with several schools walking away with millions of Naira. 


The grand finale of the competition held in Awka the Anambra state capital with over 50 secondary schools in attendance.


Modebe Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha won the challenge, walking away with a whopping sum of 5 million naira. 


This is in addition to scholarship to universities of their choice while the teachers who prepared the students for the competition got an all expense paid trip to South Africa. 

The students had converged from various schools in Anambra to test their prowess in business and academic. 


At the end of the competition, the Holy Child Secondary School Isuofia grabbed the sum of 2 million naira as the first runner up, leaving Holy Rosary Girls College, Nsugbe, the 2nd runner with the sum of 500,000 naira. 


On the special need schools category, Diocesan Special Education Centre, Nnewi triumphed, walking away with the sum of three million naira. 

The first runner-up, Peace Therapeutic Special School, Obosi grabbed one million naira while 500,000 naira went to RECDOT Secondary and vocational school ,Ozubulu. 


Two teachers got 500,000 naira each for winning best mentors for each category. 


A student from new Era Secondary school onitsha went home with 100,000 for the best 1 minute video while new Era Secondary school onitsha got 30,000 for the People's choice award(online vote). 


Speaking at the event, the project director, a humanitarian and philanthropist, Barr. Orby Venessa Agwuncha represented by Mrs Eunice Adimora while congratulating the winning schools said it is aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship among secondary school students. 


She noted that the objective is to prepare them for opportunities to pursue entrepreneurship.


She thanked those who supported the programme and assured that it will continue to serve as a window to harness the young potentials in the state and beyond.
