Omoniyi Oluwaferanmi, a graduate of Fisheries and Aquaculture Technology from Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), has been reportedly abducted.


The 25-year-old Oluwaferanmi was said to have been abducted by kidnappers on 2 November while traveling from Ibadan, Oyo State to Abuja for the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.


According to posts by his friends, his his last known location before his abduction was Kabba in Kogi State.


The kidnappers have reportedly contacted the victim’s family and demanded N20 million to set him free.


A post by @Theayoadams on his verified X handle (Ayo of Ibadan) on Sunday, called on Nigerians to help in raising fund to secure the release of Oluwaferanmi.


“Feranmi @Mr_reguard was kidnapped on his way to NYSC Camp in Abuja. His abductors have requested for the sum of N20 Million Naira (sic) .

Abujapress reports that in recent times many NYSC corps members as well as other Nigerians have been targeted by kidnappers, who often collect huge ransom before setting free such victims
