Uchechi Okwu-Kanu, wife of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, on Thursday said she battled evil spirits and several individuals to keep her husband and baby alive about eight years ago.
Uchechi, who stated this in a birthday message to her child, Hansel, said the spiritual battle was fought when she was pregnant.
“Pregnant with you when your father #MNK was kidnapped.I fought evil spirits&humans to keep you &him alive-a reminder as you turn 8 today. The 8 powers in the (4)Cardinal & (4)Ordinal points are operating in your stead to #FreeNnamdiKanu!
Happy birthday to you my #Hansel #Aguasaa, ” she said.
Abujapress reports that IPOB is a group seeking to carve out a sovereign state of Biafra from the South-east and some parts of South-south Nigeria.
Kanu, who leads IPOB, disappeared from Nigeria after reportedly skipping bail in 2017. He was arrested in Kenya in 2021 and charged with terrorism.
He has since been in detention even the Supreme Court on 15 December, 2023, overturned a judgement by a lower court that dropped terrorism charges against him, ruling that trial on the charges should continue.
