The African Fashion and Arts Award (AFAA), over the weekend, completed the appointment process of the globally celebrated artist Zainab Shuaibu as the Director Corporate Partnerships and Operations.
According to the president of AFAA Mr. Kingsley Amako; Zainab's appointment is timely for us especially now that the organization is faced with several projects across the African continent. We have had a successful convergence of the press, the government and industry leaders in the private sectors in Abuja and Lagos Nigeria. In less than two (2) weeks, we will be in Nairobi, Kenya to continue with the Fashion & Arts business and Mentorship summit and the AFAA East Africa Fashion & Arts Expo.
Again, in October 2024, the 4th anniversary of the annual AFAA Awards will be held in Cape Town, South Africa. So, we are excited to welcome her to the team and we look forward to several collaborations with creative entrepreneurs, individuals, stakeholders, and leaders in the public and private sectors.
The new Director Corporate Partnerships and Operations, Zainab Shuaibu, is a Nigerian artist celebrated for her vibrant style and emotive abstract paintings, Sheseamlessly weaves together themes of identity, culture, and relatable narratives in hercaptivating creations. Her educational background includes being a Bachelor of Arts holder and a Business for Arts and Culture Master, Shuaibu's journey into the art world is both deeply rooted in talent and meticulously fine-tuned through academic rigour.From her inaugural showcase at the Saatchi Art Prize online to prestigious exhibitions like the Southampton Illustrators Showcase and New Designers London Exhibition, Shuaibu has consistently dazzled audiences with her unique fusion of traditional African aesthetics and contemporary techniques. Noteworthy among accomplishments of the International Culture professional, is her live painting performance at the esteemed Palazzo Cavalli Franchetti in Venice, for Art night Venezia.
