Gunmen dressed in army uniforms kidnapped a popular ex-militant leader, High Chief Sobomabo Jackrich, also known as Egberipapa, from his residence in Usokun, Degema Local Government Area, Rivers State.
According to sources close to the ex-militant leader, gunmen invaded his residence around 3 a.m. on Monday, killed two of his lieutenants, and abducted him to an unknown location.
One of the sources, however, believed that the operation was carried out by the military adding that some army branded vehicles, including an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) were used for the operation.
