The founding Partner African Scholars Care Initiatives (ASCI) Joy Osomaimhe-O has concluded arrangements to hold a memorable 6th edition of International Day of the African Child.

The 2024 edition which has as the theme, "Education For All Children in Africa: The Time is Now" will feature an inter-school quiz competition.

She has been rallying support of stakeholders in the child development and education sector to make the event very robust. 

Already, she has secured media partnership with NTA and AIT.

Other partners include, Nutrition International, FCT women Affairs Secretariat, National population Commission, Nigerian data protection commission, HMS Youth Development, SSAP School feeding and others.

Nutrition International has been a major driver in boosting teenage and adolescent health by way of providing adequate nutrition to enhance their growth and development. 

This is also in line with the aims and objectives of Scholars Care Initiative, creating a conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning, especially for children and adolescents. 

The inter-school quiz competition is scheduled to hold on June 19 and will have critical stakeholders in education, child rights and nutrition in attendance.

Expected to grace the occasion is, Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, Chairman National Population Commission, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra, Mandate Secretary FCT Women Affairs Secretariat, Dr. Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi, and others.
