Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen returned to his roots, bringing his prestigious CAF Award to Olusoun Primary School in Ojota, Lagos. The school, nestled in the heart of the city, held a special place in Osimhen's journey, as he once hawked on the streets of Olusosun to support his family.

It would be recalled that Osimhen, in December 2023, won the CAF 2023 Men’s Player of the Year award, becoming the first Nigerian to win the award since Nwankwo Kanu in 1999.

His recent visit to the school was disclosed on by a photojournalist, Sulaiman Adebayo, popularly called Pooja.

The caption read, “Victor Osimhen takes his CAF Award to Olusosun Primary School, Ojota, where it all started with street coaches and friends.”

His visit is coming days after he went online to publicly attack the former Super Eagles coach, Finidi George.

Osimhen's CAF Award win in December 2023 marked a historic moment for Nigerian football, ending a 24-year wait for the country to produce a winner in the men's category. His achievement has resonated deeply with fans across the nation, and this visit to Olusoun Primary School serves as a testament to his dedication to inspiring the next generation of leaders and change-makers.
