The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Police Service Commission (PSC) have reached an agreement on the final merit list for recruiting Police Constables.

ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force PRO, announced that after extensive deliberations, both bodies have ensured a transparent, fair, and merit-based recruitment process.

Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun expressed satisfaction with the outcome, highlighting the collaboration as a commitment to Nigeria’s best interests. He is confident that the new recruits will significantly contribute to the Federal Government’s goals of creating employment for Nigerian youths, enhancing internal security, and maintaining law and order.

Training for the new recruits will commence on Saturday, August 10, 2024. This intensive program is designed to equip officers with essential skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively. The training will cover modern policing ethics, community policing strategies, ICT, artificial intelligence, human relations, and attitudinal and behavioral change.

The agreement and the upcoming training underscore the NPF and PSC’s dedication to improving Nigeria’s policing standards and ensuring the new constables are well-prepared to serve their communities.
