Popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has been released from prison.


Bobrisky was convicted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on April 5, 2024, for mutilating naira notes, with charges spanning four counts of naira abuse.


Bobrisky, who had pleaded guilty before Justice A.O. Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos, was released on Monday, August 5, 2024.


Following his release, Bobrisky was seen celebrating with friends, enjoying Mohbad’s and Chike’s song “Egwu.” His friends congratulated him, marking his return from prison.
