The recognition for both football legends took place during the UEFA Champions League group stage draw held in Monaco on Thursday evening.
Ronaldo, whose name has become synonymous with European football greatness, was awarded by UEFA for his unmatched record as the top scorer in the competition’s history.
The award was presented by UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin during the 2024/25 UCL draw ceremony on Thursday, August 29.
Ronaldo’s record-breaking 140 goals in 183 appearances have set a new standard in the Champions League, marking a historic chapter in the tournament’s legacy.
