Victor Osimhen has reportedly taken a significant step towards fulfilling his Premier League ambitions by agreeing to join Chelsea on a weekly wage of €350,000.
Initially, the Napoli striker sought a €500,000-per-week deal, but with the transfer window set to close in 48 hours, he has agreed to the revised terms, which fall €150,000 short of his original demand.
This development aligns with earlier reports from Italy, indicating that the prolonged negotiations between Chelsea and Napoli are finally nearing completion. It is understood that Napoli has accepted Chelsea’s offer for the Nigerian forward.
In a related development, Al Ahli has intensified its pursuit of Osimhen. According to renowned Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Saudi Pro League club’s management is preparing to travel to Italy to expedite negotiations for the striker’s transfer.
As the window draws to a close, Chelsea is expected to secure a new striker, with Osimhen, Jhon Duran, and Ivan Toney all being considered. Notably, Toney is also a target for Manchester United.
Napoli, eager to offload the former Lille player, is open to various transfer possibilities. Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain, once keen on Osimhen, has shifted its focus to other options, buoyed by their strong start to the season.
