The Nigerian Army has made significant progress in recent operations, including the arrest of four suspected kidnappers of retired Major General Richard Duru in Imo State.

Instead, the Army seized N5,048,105, three vehicles, six laptops, and a cash-counting machine from the suspects.

In Borno State, on August 27, 2024, Nigerian troops ambushed Boko Haram terrorists at Logomani village, resulting in the death of five terrorists and the recovery of one AK-47 rifle, a magazine, and two bicycles.
