Top Nigerian leaders are set to be honoured at the upcoming Democracy Heroes Award Africa in recognition of their contributions towards the enrichment of democratic norms in the nigerian society and the African continent as a whole. 

They include, Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, his Niger counterpart, Mohammed Umar Bago and the Chief Executive Officer of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal. 

Others include, Governors Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi state, Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom state and Nasir Idris of Kebbi state as well as the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike. 

The award also recognizes entrepreneurs, business and entertainers whose contributions have helped in entrenching stability through job creation, youth empowerment and poverty alleviation measures. 

Democracy Hero's Award is hosted by Face of Democracy Nigeria (FDN) 

Project Director FDN, Olufunsho Ajagbonna aka Fajag in a chat with journalists in Abuja said like the previous editions of the award, those who emerged this year were chosen after a rigorous process, including popular choice in online voting. 

Awardees will be officially conferred at a ceremony on 2nd October 2024, at Congress Hall Transcorp Hilton Abuja.
