Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has opened up about her deep admiration for fellow actor Ramsey Nouah and how he played a pivotal role in her decision to move to Nigeria and pursue a career in acting.
During a recent appearance on Hip TV’s Trending, hosted by reality star KimOprah, Ade shared her journey from modeling in America to becoming a Nollywood star, crediting Nouah for giving her the confidence to make the bold move.
Ade revealed that before relocating to Nigeria in 2011, she had the chance to meet Ramsey Nouah, who encouraged her to follow her dreams of acting in Nollywood.
“He was the one who gave me confirmation to move to Nigeria,” she said. “I told him my goals and aspirations, and he gave me a very good pep talk. That was all I needed.”
Although it took some time before she finally worked with him, Adunni shared the excitement she felt when the opportunity came during a film festival.
“The next day, I got a call from his producer, Chris, who said, ‘Adunni, what did you give Ramsey to eat? He just cast you.’ I had goosebumps! It was a dream come true to work with him,” she explained.
She praised Nouah’s work ethic and versatility, having seen him as a co-actor, director, and friend on set. “He is just a phenomenal human being,” she added.
Since moving to Nigeria, Adunni Ade has built an impressive career, starring in over 250 Nollywood films across both English and Yoruba-language cinema. Her breakthrough role came in the 2013 Yoruba film You or I, and she continues to make waves in the Nigerian movie industry.
