Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, the former minister of women affairs, recently expressed her continued support for President Bola Tinubu, following her dismissal from the federal cabinet.

On Wednesday, Tinubu made a sweeping reshuffle, relieving five ministers of their positions, including Kennedy-Ohanenye; Lola Ade-John, the minister of tourism; Jamila Bio Ibrahim, minister of youth development; Tahir Mamman, minister of education; and Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, minister of state, housing and urban development.

In her response to the change, Kennedy-Ohanenye expressed gratitude for the chance to serve in Tinubu’s cabinet, describing it as an honor and a privilege to contribute to Nigeria’s growth.

She further voiced her belief in Tinubu’s leadership, stating her conviction that he is destined to bring positive change to the nation.

Despite her departure from office, Kennedy-Ohanenye reassured Nigerians that she remains committed to supporting Tinubu’s administration and will continue to advocate for the country’s development alongside him.

“This is a test of time, a Highly Spiritual Movement that no Human being can stop,” she wrote.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is destined to fix Nigeria and I, Barr Uju Kennedy will fight alongside him to the last. Let’s be optimistic. Nigeria will be great!”

The president had also appointed seven new ministers and reassigned 10 to new portfolios.

The newly appointed ministers will be screened by the senate.
