A non-governmental organisation, Foundation for Restoring Civic Values, Equality, and Education, simply known as Free Nigeria has called for restoration of values to develop the country, while also urging the government to create enabling environment for talent development.

Speaking at the official unveiling of the NGO in Abuja, the Executive Director and Head Strategy, Moses Paul said the country is at a time when values are completely eroded across various sectors, a development he said has affected the country's development.

According to Mr Mo, from the flawed electoral processes, to corruption and natural disasters befalling the country, especially the flood, they are all products of failure to do what is right at the right time.
"From the citizens level to the leadership, the politicians across board, there is serious need to begin to restore the values in the civic space, for whom we are.

"As someone who has travelled many countries in Africa and beyond, I can tell you that the African continent and the world is looking up to Nigeria to be able to raise the standard of value", he said.

Also speaking, a guest and a poet, Dike Chukwumerije said time has come for all citizens to represent what the nation truly ought to be, using it to inspire a new narrative that projects the country positively.

The Executive Deputy Director, Partnerships, Fundraising and Mental Health Programmes, Ndidi Mbagwu said the foundation will work with young people, empower and educate them on the need to be ambassador of good ethical values.
The organization advocates for gender equality, mental health and social justice initiatives, as well as supports educational development through scholarships, teacher training, and resource distribution.

It aims to build a just, inclusive, and progressive society where civic values, equality, patriotic education and mental health resilience are the cornerstones of national development.

She further state that the foundation is non partisan as it's sole objective is Restoring Civic Values, Equality, and Education which is open to interested minds.
