President Bola Tinubu has officially launched Nigeria’s 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem at a ceremony held in the Council Chamber of Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.

In his address, Tinubu pledged unwavering support for the welfare of servicemen and women as they work to protect Nigeria’s territorial integrity.

Acknowledging the armed forces as the country’s first line of defense, Tinubu emphasized his administration’s dedication to supporting military personnel and honoring the sacrifices of those who lost their lives in service.

He noted the critical role of security in driving Nigeria’s economic progress and promised sustained resource allocation to address security challenges nationwide.

The emblem launch saw significant donations as a show of support for the armed forces. The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, representing the Federal Government, pledged N500 million.

The National Assembly, represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, contributed N200 million, while top security leaders, including the Chief of Defence Staff and the Inspector-General of Police, collectively committed N50 million on behalf of the military and police.
