The Edo State House of Assembly has approved the appointment of 20 Special Advisers to Governor Monday Okpebholo, alongside the nomination of Emmanuel Okoebor as Commissioner for Finance.
The governor’s request for these appointments was communicated through a letter sent by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Umar Ikhilor, to the Speaker of the House.
Governor Okpebholo emphasized that the appointments are essential to ensuring the smooth operation and effectiveness of his administration.
This follows the assembly’s earlier confirmation of Samson Osagie as Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, and Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole as Commissioner for Health.
Both individuals are expected to bring their expertise to critical areas of governance in the state.
Governor Okpebholo, who was sworn in alongside his deputy, Dennis Idahosa, last week, is assembling his team to implement his agenda for Edo State.
The approval of these appointments represents a significant step in laying the foundation for his administration’s policies and initiatives.
Observers are watching closely as the governor’s team takes shape, with expectations high for impactful governance and development in Edo State.
