Dr. Chris Oko Odey, the president and Founder of the International Women Power Conference is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mr. Saidykhan, an esteemed Youth Development Expert and Civil Rights Activist, as the Africa Coordinator for the International Women Power Conference (IWPC) events. This role positions Mr. Saidykhan to spearhead critical outreach efforts, engaging sponsors, inviting top dignitaries, and enhancing the IWPC’s impact across Africa.
With over a decade of dedicated experience in development work, Mr. Saidykhan has consistently championed sustainable democracy, inclusion, and human rights across Africa. As a trained advocate from the Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth, and Advancement (YIAGA AFRICA) on Campaign Advocacy and Movement Building, he has been instrumental in fostering youth political leadership and strengthening democratic principles across the continent. His notable leadership includes roles in The Gambia National Youth Parliament, where he served as National Speaker, and as former Chairperson of the Serrekunda East Youth Committee under the National Youth Council.
Mr. Saidykhan’s contributions to youth development and leadership are globally recognized. He is a Certified Ambassador of the Young Political Leadership School Africa in Liberia, an Ambassador at the World Youth Leadership Centre in Rwanda, and a recent recipient of the Global Youth Leadership Award 2023. His extensive experience in both national and international youth initiatives makes him uniquely suited to amplify the IWPC’s mission, empowering women and promoting leadership on a transformative scale.
As Africa Coordinator, Mr. Saidykhan’s vision and expertise will be vital in advancing IWPC’s objectives, securing key partnerships, and reinforcing the organization’s commitment to empowering women across the African continent.
