The Supreme Court has dismissed the lawsuit filed by Ambrose Aworu, the presidential candidate of the Hope Democratic Party, which sought the removal of President Bola Tinubu from office.

Aworu’s suit was based on allegations involving the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and drug-related claims against Tinubu. However, the court ruled on Monday that the lawsuit was frivolous and lacked merit.

In its ruling, the Supreme Court also imposed a fine of N5 million on Aworu for filing the case. This decision has put an end to the legal challenge against the President, reinforcing the legitimacy of Tinubu’s presidency.
