The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, has extended his heartfelt greetings to Nigerian Christians as they celebrate Christmas this year.
In a statement released by his aide, Seyi Olorunsola, Ata also expressed special regards to Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, praising her as a devoted “Woman of God” and commending her charitable contributions through the Renewed Hope Foundation.
“I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes to our Christian brothers and sisters across Nigeria as we celebrate this joyous season of Christmas and approach the New Year 2025,” the statement reads.
Emphasizing the significance of the season, Ata noted, “Christmas is a season of great significance, marking the birth of Jesus Christ, whose life and teachings continue to inspire hope, love, and unity. His birth signifies glad tidings for all men and women of goodwill, and I pray that this year’s Christmas will usher in renewed joy, peace, and prosperity for our beloved nation as we prepare to step into 2025.”
He went on to recognize the First Lady’s efforts, saying, “In this spirit of celebration, I extend special felicitations to the First Lady, Her Excellency, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu. As a Pastor and a Woman of God, she continues to exemplify compassion and leadership. I commend her dedication to uplifting the lives of women and children through the Renewed Hope Foundation, which is already making remarkable strides in improving communities across Nigeria. I pray for God’s continued grace and blessings upon her, the President, and their family during this season and beyond.”
Ata also called on Nigerians to embrace the season’s values of unity, peace, and goodwill, urging collective support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
“This festive period is also a time to reflect on the values of unity, peace, and goodwill towards one another. I encourage all Nigerians to come together in the spirit of love and solidarity, supporting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as we collectively strive to overcome the security and socio-economic challenges facing our nation. Let us seize this opportunity to pray for Nigeria’s continued progress and stability as we embrace the hope and possibilities that the New Year promises, ” he said.
He concluded by wishing Nigerians a joyful holiday season and a prosperous 2025: “May the joy of Christmas fill our hearts and homes, and may 2025 be a year of breakthroughs, growth, and national renewal.”
