A Magistrate Court sitting in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, has ordered the remand of two siblings of Pastor Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Church, and a former pastor of the church, at the Keffi Custodial Centre in Nasarawa State.

The siblings, Mr. Enenche Enenche and Alexander Enenche, along with Pastor Abraham Daniel, were reportedly remanded on Monday evening following a remand order obtained by the Nigerian Police Force.

Pastor Abraham Daniel is a former pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Church, while the Enenche brothers are closely related to Pastor Paul Enenche, raising public interest in the case.

Upon honouring the police invitation, Mr. Enenche Enenche and Alexander Enenche (brothers of Pastor Paul Enenche) as well as Abraham Daniel (a former Pastor at Dunamis Church) were kept in the police custody till Monday evening, SaharaReporters learnt.

SaharaReporters had reported on January 8 that the Intelligence Department of the Nigerian police released the duo on bail.

Alex Enenche and Daniel were arrested and detained on January 7, 2025, of allegations of cyberbullying and criminal defamation against Pastor Paul Enenche, but were released the following day (last Wednesday) after an agreement was reached to resolve the matter amicably.

Alex Enenche and Abraham Daniel were instructed to report to the Force Intelligence Department (FID) on Friday, January 10, 2025, and Monday, January 13, 2025.

SaharaReporters reported on Tuesday that the FID had detained Daniel and Alexander Eneche, following their appearance at the department in response to a police invitation.

However, upon their reporting to the Force Headquarters on Monday, a source told SaharaReporters that they were kept in police custody “till this evening and then brought a remand order from a Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6 this night to remand them in prison.”

“Upon honouring the Police invitation, Mr. Enenche Enenche, Alexander Enenche ( brothers of Pastor Paul Enenche) and Abraham Daniel (a former Pastor at Dunamis Church) were kept in Police custody till this evening when they brought a remand order from a Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja.

“The police claimed to have gotten an Order from the Magistrate Court, Zone 6, Abuja for their remand.

“The name of the Magistrate and number of days etc not yet known at the moment,” said the source.

“Currently the three of them – Mr. Enenche Enenche, Alexander Enenche (brothers of Pastor Paul Enenche) and Abraham Daniel (a former Pastor at Dunamis Church) have been taken to Keffi Prison on remand.”

Meanwhile, the source told SaharaReporters that a fundamental rights application would be filed on Tuesday.

“We will likely file fundamental right on this tomorrow,” the source said.
