The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has achieved an unprecedented milestone, generating a record-breaking revenue of ₦6.105 trillion in 2024.

This remarkable figure represents a 90.4% surge compared to the ₦3.2 trillion recorded in 2023, reflecting significant improvements in the service’s operations and efficiency.

During a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, expressed pride in the agency’s stellar performance.

He revealed that the NCS surpassed its 2024 revenue target of ₦5.07 trillion by an impressive 22%.

Highlighting the agency’s achievements, Adeniyi noted that October 2024 marked a historic moment, with the highest monthly revenue remittance ever recorded by the NCS, totaling ₦603 billion.

The Comptroller-General attributed the success to innovative reforms, enhanced operational strategies, and the dedication of Customs personnel. He emphasized the NCS’s commitment to sustaining this momentum and contributing significantly to Nigeria’s economic growth.

“The Nigerian Customs Service recorded an unprecedented performance in 2024.

“Crossing new heights in trade facilitation and revenue collection, the service achieved N6.105 trillion, a testament to our improved strategies and operational efficiency,” Adeniyi stated.
