Focus Holiday Inn, a prominent hotel located in the Garki area of Abuja, was engulfed in flames early Wednesday morning.

The fire reportedly began around 3 a.m., causing panic among guests and staff.

According to a hotel staff member, the alarm was raised by a guest who rushed to the reception unclad to report the incident. The fire, which started in one section of the three-story building, quickly spread to other parts of the hotel complex, prompting frantic evacuation efforts.

Despite several emergency calls, fire service officials reportedly delayed in arriving at the scene. However, they eventually arrived and began efforts to contain the blaze.

Founded in 2022, Focus Holiday Inn is known for its luxurious accommodations, describing itself as an upscale home away from home in Abuja.

At the time of this report, no casualties had been confirmed, and the cause of the fire remains unknown. Efforts to reach hotel management, fire service officials, and the police for comments were unsuccessful.

Additionally, the hotel’s website was inaccessible, adding to the uncertainty surrounding the incident.
