Yusuf Imam, popularly known as “Ogan Boye,” the Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Area in Kano State, has approved the appointment of 60 aides.

This development was confirmed in a letter signed by the Local Government Secretary, Ado Muhd Hotoro. The appointments are reportedly part of the chairman’s strategy to enhance governance and drive development within the LGA.

The letter, dated January 6, 2024, stated: “Sequel to the efforts of the Honourable Chairman of Nassarawa Local Government to promote and develop the local government area, I wish to convey the approval for the appointment of the following prominent individuals to various roles across different fields and professions.”

18 Special Reporters were assigned to oversee departments, markets, and primary healthcare centres.

Others are the Executive Assistant, Tribe, Chief Details Affairs I and II, Chief Protocol Officer, and Principal Personnel Secretary. Eight Director Generals were also appointed to support strategic initiatives.

The appointments were described as being based on merit, dedication, honesty, and commitment to governance.

The chairman expressed confidence in the ability of the appointees to fulfil their roles effectively and contribute to the local government’s development objectives.
