President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja after spending nearly three weeks in Lagos and visiting other locations, including Accra, Ghana, and Enugu State.

The Airbus A330 carrying the president and his personal aides landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Tinubu was welcomed by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; and other senior security officials.

His return to the Federal Capital Territory follows his attendance earlier in the day at the inauguration of Ghana’s President John Mahama in Accra, where Tinubu also delivered a keynote address.

During his absence from Abuja, Tinubu departed for Lagos on December 18, 2024, to celebrate the Christmas and New Year holidays. He also made a brief stop in Enugu State as part of his engagements outside the capital.
