During his inauguration on Monday, marking his return to the White House for a second, non-consecutive term, the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump, pledged to send “millions and millions of criminal aliens” back to their home countries.

Trump’s statement was part of his broader immigration agenda, emphasizing his commitment to securing the U.S. borders and addressing illegal immigration.

His vow is expected to be a key focus of his second term, building on the hardline policies that characterized his first term in office.

“Today I will sign a series of historic executive orders,” Trump declared, outlining his plans to tackle illegal immigration.

“With these actions, we will begin the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense,” he added.

He asserted that illegal entries into the country would immediately cease under his administration, saying, “I will declare a national emergency at our serving border.

“All illegal entry will immediately be halted and we will begin the process of returning millions and millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came.”

The president also highlighted the reinstatement of his controversial “Remain in Mexico” policy, which mandates that asylum seekers at the southern border stay in Mexico while awaiting their immigration court hearings in the U.S.
