American rapper and YouTuber, Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., known by his stage name DDG, has hinted that he might leave the United States in favour of relocating to either Lagos, Nigeria or London.
In a tweet posted on Saturday via X, DDG voiced his concerns about life in America, stating that he was unsure whether he wanted to continue living there. The rapper expressed that his home country was becoming less appealing to him.
“America lowkey not it no more ngl.. might have to move to London or Lagos,” he tweeted.
This statement comes during a time when Los Angeles is battling severe wildfires, which have caused widespread destruction. At least 16 people have lost their lives, and more than 12,000 buildings have been damaged or destroyed since the fires began last week.
Health officials in Los Angeles have urged residents to stay indoors due to hazardous smoke from the wildfires. Anish Mahajan, from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, explained the dangers of wildfire smoke, which consists of tiny particles, gases, and water vapors. These particles can irritate the respiratory system, leading to sore throats and headaches.
“We are all exposed to wildfire smoke, which contains a mix of small particles, gases, and water vapors. The fine particles irritate the nose and throat, causing sore throats and headaches,” Mahajan said, according to AFP.
