The House of Representatives has commenced the consideration of the Finance Committee’s report on the four tax reform bills presented to the National Assembly by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The report, submitted by Committee Chairman James Abiodun Faleke (APC, Lagos) on Tuesday, was discussed in a closed-door meeting between the committee and the House leadership before the official deliberation began on Thursday.

According to The Nation, all convention items on the House order paper were suspended by the House to allow deliberation and consideration of the bills.

It was also observed that bulky copies of the report were brought into the Chamber in big sacks popularly known as Ghana must Go.

The four bills were presented to the House for consideration by Faleke who appealed to the members to approve all the recommendations there in.
