Arrangements are being put in place for the successful hosting of Peace Legends Awards International, which seeks to honour 100 African brands and personalities who have made significant contributions towards transforming the continent.
The award, which is the 14th edition will hold in Abuja, the nation's capital in April, 2025 and is expected to bring together crème de la crème of Africa in a unique and captivating setting.
Mr Jesse Osero Amiri the founder of Peace Legend Awards International who is partnering with a body of distinguished researchers who are committed to Peace in Nigeria and Africa said this year's edition of the award will be outstanding as a result of categories of awardees to be honoured.
He extolled the contribution of African continent in the development of the world true its human capital and rich mineral resources.
"Africa is the source of life , a continent rich in diversity, culture people and natural resources. It is a continent that has contributed blood, sweat and resources for the development of the world . As the cradle of civilization it supplies the rest of the world with its vast natural resources needed for industrialization
"Africa is a continent of great minds- leaders , entrepreneurs, entertainers, activists and visionaries who have shaped history and continue to shape the future . From the struggle for independence to technological innovations and economic transformation, these personalities have left indelible marks in the continent. Nigeria as Africa's giant has produced some of the most influential figures in governance, business and culture.Africa abounds with names of personalities who have shaped the continent in one discipline or the other", he said in a social media post.
The upcoming award is about contemporary African leaders who have excelled in their different areas of human endeavour. It is aimed at recognizing and encouraging them to keep making impact towards nation-building.
Though very tasking, the award organisers said the selection process has been very transparent, thorough and ensuring that the very best are recognized.
To be anchored by a veteran MC, Mr Jesse Osero Amiri the event promises to be very exciting and full of fun.
